Last week I had plans to walk with my friend and our babies, but when the day came it was the first real rainy day of the season and neither of us felt like schlepping babies in the rain. Instead, we made the wise decision to meet at North Shore Cafe in White Salmon, WA. North Shore Cafe is the kind of place where you could spend hours. It’s welcoming, cozy, and offers up such tasty, healthy food. Like omelettes, quinoa/rice bowls, salads, sandwiches, and fresh juice. To say I had a hard time deciding would be an understatement.
I started with a big mug of the house-made chai to warm up and it was great. Not too spicy and not too sweet; basically just how I like it. For food I ordered the avo toast and was really happy. The thickly cut sourdough bread from Blue Skies Bakery was pure bread heaven and the avocado was buttery and smooth. The toast was finished with salt and pepper and a squeeze of lime, which is purely genius. I ate it really slowly and enjoyed a nice long chat with my bestie while my baby played on my lap. Life doesn’t get much better than that.
