Springhouse Cellars is tucked back in a quiet nook by the railway station downtown. The space is cozy and rustic. I loved the Sauvignong Blanc, which was tart and refreshing. The Pinot was rich, light with a hint of licorice, and for only $32, it’s a great value. I was really surprised by the peppery, smooth, subltle Merlot. My favorite was the Petite Syrah, it has a deep blackberry flavor with just a hint of black pepper. If you find yourself strolling around town, I highly recommend wandering down to Springhouse for a mid-day tasting.
