Solstice Wood Fire Cafe is a great pizza place located down by the waterfront in Hood River, across from the park. They have local craft beers on tap, and do a lot to support the local communities’ food growers. They are always present at the farmer’s markets with their traveling brick oven. My favorite of their pizzas is the Country Girl Cherry with cherries, chorizo, and goat cheese. They have delicious s’mores too. My friend Kate loves their Moroccan Beef Stew. Solstice is very kid friendly. They have a great kids’ menu and even have a selection of organic jarred baby food. Owners Aaron and Suzanne have two sweet boys and their awareness of a family’s needs is obvious in their cafe.
