One of our favorite places to eat in town is a coffee shop. Seriously, a coffee shop. Kickstand Coffee & Kitchen offers so much more than coffee. In addition to the best house-made doughnuts in town, they also have an impressive lunch and dinner menu, and beer, wine, and cocktails at the bar. Did I mention they’re connected to a bike shop too? It’s kind of a gold mine.
The food is super tasty and incorporates some global flavors inspired by the travels of the owner/professional mountain biker, Nick Hardin. I love international food and as there are limited options in our small town, I really appreciate eating his global cuisine.
Recently we popped in for a family lunch and devoured the Vietnamese street tacos, Thai chicken salad, and kiddo grilled cheese and curly fries. The tacos were the standout item with wildly flavorful pulled pork, spicy aioli, and pickled veggies. I’d also highly recommend my usual order, the glazed pork belly Bahn Mi. It’s rich, but so, so, so tasty after a big day adventuring outside.
