Celilo is a fantastic restaurant. They have an amazing wine selection, and a great bar. The food is top notch. We love going to Celilo for a wonderful lunch, a special dinner, or when our family is in town. The chef, Ben, cooks up delicious food that highlights everything the Gorge has to offer. During the summer they open the wide front window panels so you can eat and people watch. The servers are great and can always recommend good wines. Celilo’s central focus is creating great food from locally-sourced ingredients. They are also an environmentally conscious business. If you’re in the mood to cook up some food yourself, sign up for one of Ben’s cooking classes. Celilo Bar has a nice little happy hour. From 5-6pm, you can grab a seat at the bar and order from their great small plate menu. This would be a great way to grab a drink and appetizer, or share some small plates for a light dinner. Their drinks are really good. Local favorites are the Sweet Cheeks Martini (Habañero infused vodka, fresh peach puree with a splash of cranberry juice), and the Spanish Fly (Crater Lake vodka served dirty with Spanish olive juice and olives).
