I was completely surprised by their wines, location, presentation, and their passion. Located up in Underwood, AniChe is a bit off the beaten path, but that’s part of what makes it so lovely. Visiting AniChe felt similar to wine tasting at Marchesi in that it feels a bit like a mini-vacation destination. Each wine is carefully crafted to pair well with food. The red wines were great. I really enjoyed the 2010 Siruis blend of Barbera and Zinfandel. Sirius was specifically designed and blended to pair well with the Country Girl pizza from Solstice Wood Fire Cafe in Hood River. I was really impressed with the knowledge of the people working in the tasting room and at the winery, and the atmosphere is lovely. I can’t wait to go again, grab a seat outside and enjoy the view with a great glass of wine.
